FLIGHT EXPERIENCE

Mabuhay! Hello! The weather was so good. That was sunny when my friend and I started our journey for joining Sea-Teacher program. My origin university is university of PGRI Madiun, while my receiving university is Ateneo De Naga university. I came with my partners from same university, atika and Dzahra. Atika was in the same university, while Dzahra was in Tarlac Agriculture University. The journey started on Friday 11th of January 2019. We leaved our school at 9.30 am to go to Adi Sumarmo Airport. We used near way to make it short. Then we arrived at 10.30 am. We didn't go airport directly. But we dropped in money changer in Solo. After that, we took our lunch. After having lunch, we went to Airport.

At Adi Sumarmo Airport

The airport was not really crowded when we arrived. Our airplane was Citilink. We checked in and wait for the airplane 4 hours because it delayed. We spent 2 hours flight from Adi Sumarmo Airport, Solo to Soekarno-Hatta Airport, Jakarta. We arrived there at 4.30 pm. In Jakarta we still had to wait for the next flight to Manila, Philippines. Our flight was at 1.05 am, but we checked in at 10.00 pm. So we waited during 4.5 hours before check in. After waiting, finally we were departure. Our flight was with Philippines Airplane. We spent 5,5 hours flight.

We arrived at Ninoy Airport at 6.30 am. In Ninoy Airport, we managed our departure in immigration and bought new SIM card. It was 1000P, means 270.000 rupiah. We were shocked actually. That was so expensive. But we had no choice. Directly after managing and buying, we checked in to connect flight to Cebu Airport. We waited for 2 hours before departure because the plane delayed. Because of it, when we arrived in Cebu, the airplane had already been departure. So, we missed our connecting flight to Legazpi, and unfortunately there is no other flight to Legazpi at that time. The flight to Legazpi would be the next day. We thought we will stay at the Airport a whole day. But, luckily the airplane gave us the accommodation staying in Crown Regency Hotel for a night. Staying at hotel, we were lucky. Because the facilities were so good and the food was delicious.
The hotel we stayed.

One of facilities. Awesome room.

Good dinner

In the next day, we came back to the Airport at 10 am to get the flight to Naga at 1 pm. We departured at 3 pm. In Legazpi Airport, we had waited by our campus coordinator, ma'am Jannett for going to the dorm. But before leaving, we should managed our flight for back to Indonesia that had a problem. After managing it, we took our lunch. After having lunch, we went to our dorm. We spent 3 hours to go to Naga city. In the dorm, we met two of other Seateacher participants who are from Indonesia too. They are Stella and Diana from UTP (Universitas Tunas Pembangunan).after that we set our things in the room, an take a rest. In the midnight the other participants came. Those are Alwi and Nita from Pakuan university.

We were lucky, because we could see the Mayon Mountain. Some of people said that it was seldom that people could see the mountain when they go there. We were so lucky then. After that, we went to Sumlang lake. Through this destination, we could see Mayon Mountain clearly. Because it was near with the mountain. The place was also beautiful especially for taking picture. Then, the next journey was Cagsawa. In Cagsawa, we went to the first old church that destroyed by the volcano from Mayon Mountain. The building that still can be seen till now is the top of the church. Then the next was Lignon Hill. In Lignon hill we could see the Legazpi airport. We knew a airplane did take off and landing. After that we continued to the Zoo. In the zoo, we found various animals. There I found some peacocks. And I tried to wait for a peacock expanded his feather. But unfortunately, he did not do that. I had been waited for 30 minutes, and nothing happen. After that we went to the second old church in Legazpi that still use till now. After going to some destinations, we went home.

After reading, I asked them to rewrite the short story by using their own language. I provided 15 minutes to finish it. Then, I asked them to read in front of the class. The student noticed the short story very well. They so wondered about the short story, and asked me whether there was a picture of it. I showed them the picture of it.
